Bei einem schweren Unfall auf dem Ochsenweg in Handewitt ist am Dienstagabend gegen 20 Uhr eine Frau schwer verletzt worden. Die Frau war mit ihrem VW Passat auf der B200 in Richtung Husum unterwegs und verließ die Bundesstraße an der Abfahrt Jarplund. Am Ende der Abfahrt wollte sie nach rechts auf den Ochsenweg in Richtung Weiche abbiegen und prallte beim Abbiegevorgang frontal mit einem LKW zusammen, dessen Fahrer auf die Bundesstraße abbiegen wollte. Die Fahrerin des VW wurde dabei nach ersten Erkenntnissen schwer verletzt und kam nach einer Erstversorgung vor Ort in die Notaufnahme der Diako. Der Fahrer des LKW einer Kanalreinigungsfirma aus Hamburg blieb unverletzt. Durch die enorme Wucht des Aufpralls schob sich der VW Kombi regelrecht unter die Front des LKW. Der genaue Unfallhergang ist noch unklar, im Auftrag der Staatsanwaltschaft wurde ein Sachverständiger hinzugezogen, der den Hergang des Frontalzusammenstoßes rekonstruieren soll. Anhad der Unfallspuren hat die Frau beim Abbiegen vermutlich ihre Fahrspur verlassen und geriet in den Gegenverkehr, ob eine zu hohe Geschwindigkeit oder Unachtsamkeit Unfallursache ist, ist nun zu klären. Während der umfangreichen Unfallaufnahme und der anschließenden Bergung durch ein Fachunternehmen war die Abfahrt Jarplund der B200 für über zwei Stunden voll gesperrt, sowie der Ochsenweg auf Höhe der Unfallstelle nur wechselseitig befahrbar. Am PKW entstand Totalschaden.
